Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
My name is Umm Eesa, and I hold multiple licenses in Qur'anic Tajweed and Arabic from my teachers in Manchester, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
Alhamdulillah, I have been teaching children the Qur'anic sciences for over 20 years, working with students of different ages, abilities, and levels. Over the years, I have taught children beginning from Qaaidah, Qur'an reading, Tajweed, memorisation, duas, Arabic, and Islamic Studies.
Teaching the Qur'an has not only been my work, but a central part of my own family life. I have also taught my own children, the eldest of whom are Huffadh and teachers in their own right, and the younger ones on the same journey, in sha Allah!
At UE Qur'an School, our aim is to help children build a strong, lasting connection with the Qur'an in a structured, disciplined, and nurturing environment. We want every child to develop correct recitation, confidence, consistency, good adab, and a love for Islamic knowledge.
Our Qur'an School has been running successfully for many years, and by the grace of Allah, we have now expanded our capacity and teaching team to offer weekly classes at Nazarene College in Didsbury. Our teachers work together with the same ethos: to support each child according to their level while maintaining high standards in Qur'an learning, behaviour, and Islamic manners.
Umm EesaPaid monthly by bank transfer or cash.
Although we aim to create a warm, enjoyable and age-appropriate learning environment, we also place great importance on discipline, consistency and regular attendance. Qur'an learning requires commitment, and we strongly encourage parents to ensure that children attend every scheduled session wherever possible.
Fees are paid monthly by bank transfer or cash. Monthly payments remain the same regardless of any sessions missed by the child during that month. This is because each child's place is reserved, and staffing and venue costs continue to be covered.
Fees also remain the same during half-term breaks and term-time holidays, as the monthly amount has been calculated to support the running costs of the school across the year, including building hire, staff costs and administration.
Classes run continuously for 11 months of the year, with breaks for the usual seasonal holidays.
By accepting a place at the Qur'an School, parents are committing to their child's place on an ongoing basis, with the expectation that they will remain enrolled for the full academic year.
The month of August is an exception. The Qur'an School closes fully during August for all students, staff and administration, and no payment will be taken for this month.
1-to-1 sessions are also available separately at £30 per hour, subject to availability. These may be offered onsite or online and are ideal for children who may benefit from more focused attention, individual targets, or a pace of learning tailored specifically to them.
The lead teacher will be myself, Umm Eesa, together with my team. All classes cover the same subjects, with students divided according to their ability and level. Class sizes are restricted to twelve children, and we welcome students from 4 to 16 years old.
The emphasis of each lesson is on developing proficiency in Qur'anic recitation using our proven method, alhamdulillah. Where appropriate, the texts used are Qaidah Nooraniyyah for beginners and Noor Albayan for those at an intermediate level — developing their makhaarij (elocution), hifdh (memorisation), and tajweed and tilaawah (rules and recitation).
Each lesson also covers the basic Islamic sciences through the Arabic language, emphasising the ritual acts of worship performed correctly. We teach children to read and write normative Arabic, alongside vocabulary appropriate to their age — a key text being Al'arabiyyah Lughatee, Levels 1–3. Lessons make use of an interactive whiteboard as well as traditional methods, supported by instructional videos and demonstrations.

Weekday class. Around 90% hifdh, reading and Qaidah, with 10% Duas.
Weekend class. A mixture of Islamic studies, Duas, hifdh, Arabic and Qaidah, making the most of the extra time.
Exact timings are still to be confirmed, but we expect them to run at around 5:00 – 7:00 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on weekends, in sha Allah. Full details will follow once finalised.
We also offer 1-to-1 Qur'an classes for children who need a more personalised learning approach. These sessions can take place onsite or online and are arranged around the child's current level, confidence, and learning goals.
1-to-1 sessions are also available separately at £30 per hour, subject to availability. These may be offered onsite or online and are ideal for children who may benefit from more focused attention, individual targets, or a pace of learning tailored specifically to them.
Our onsite classes take place at Dene Rd, Didsbury, Manchester, M20 2GU. Three further onsite classes in Cheadle Hulme are currently in the works, in sha Allah.
Whether you have a question, would like to enrol your child, or simply want to learn more about our Qur'an classes, we would be happy to hear from you.
